The first president of KRUG, Vlasta Konjevoda Krajinović (today Host), led KRUG through two turbulent years of struggle to find her own path of development of the Association. She was assisted in this by the President of the Executive Board of KRUG Diana Vranković and the President of the first branch of KRUG in Split Jadranka Radovanić
KRUG has become the Association of Croatian Business Women working to improve the position of business women in society, encouraging women's entrepreneurship, business culture and business ethics. The activities of the Circle are education, networking, promotion of the achievements of business women, acting towards public organizations and institutions, and connecting with related associations in the country and abroad (Circle Mission).
Business women in the Republic of Croatia were first organized in 1992 as the Section of Business Women at the Croatian Association of Managers CROMA. Male colleagues from the beginning supported such a gathering because the colleagues organized to promote capable, hardworking, determined and ethical business people, especially business women, whose great potential is not recognized or not sufficiently appreciated in the existing environment.
