The Office for Gender Equality was established on February 3, 2004. pursuant to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Croatia (OG 18/04) as an expert service of the Government of the Republic of Croatia for performing professional and administrative tasks related to achieving gender equality in the Republic of Croatia. It started operating in March 2004.
